Hello! I’m Senator Andrew Lang, and I am running for re-election in the new Senate District 16, covering Kandiyohi, Renville, Chippewa and Meeker Counties.

It has been an incredible honor serving my community and our values in the State Senate for the past six years.

My wife Susan and I reside in Olivia and are proud parents to two boys. My sons are my greatest inspiration. They are the reason I serve this country in the National Guard, and are my motivation for fighting for a better future for the next generation of Minnesotans.

In the Senate I have served on several committees, including Agriculture Finance, Agriculture Policy, Environment Policy and Legacy, Environment Finance, as well as Transportation Policy and Finance, and am the Chair of the Veterans and Military Affairs Finance and Policy Committee. Outside of the Senate I work as an Air Ambulance Helicopter Pilot for North Memorial Air Care, and for the last 20 years I have served in the Minnesota Army National Guard. In the National Guard I serve as a C Company 2-211th GSAB MEDEVAC Commander . I proudly deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Inherent Resolve during two visits to the Middle East, primarily operating as a Blackhawk pilot.

In my spare time, I serve on the Lessard Sams Outdoor Heritage Council and the State’s Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board, and enjoy watching my boys play baseball for Redwood Valley.
